Copyright and Technological Implementation Issues Copyright and Technology in the Classroom Copyright laws are obviously very necessary, but they may prove challenging to navigate around for teachers. The first thing I think about when copyright laws are brought up is the fact that the first iteration of Mickey Mouse's copyright has expired, which brings me to the quasi solution for teachers and copyright, public domain and fair use. Anything within public domain is free for anyone's use, so teachers and students are able to use them for anything they need to or want to. Fair use however is more restrictive and subjective, so teachers and students should be weary when resorting to this law.  Blog Post #2: Technology, Microsoft Word, and ISTE Standards " student iPad 006 " by flickingerbrad is available under CC BY 2.0 Microsoft Word I've had extensive experience with Microsoft Word, starting in 2nd grade in Brazil writing letters for Mother's Day, all the way until now in college writing five page research papers for my classes. My First Week in EME 2040 What I Desire to Learn Through this Class      Through this class, I hope to learn how to effectively use technology, both old and new, in order to aid my students' learning. I hope to understand technology and its uses better, and to develop a new-found appreciation for the craft. I hope to discover new types of technology, and to get practice with using it for educational purposes. Overall, I just hope to become a better educator through this class. My Prior Experience with Tech in the Classroom     As a child of the 2000s generation, technology is synonymous in the classroom. Through elementary school, we did not have access to tech inside the classroom, but we payed frequent visits to the computer classroom. As a student I had experience with multiple online learning tools such as I-Ready and Aleks, but also had exposure to online assignments and promethean boards. From the eyes of an educator however, I've had experience using educ...
